High Value Carbon Credits
The production of agricultural Biochar makes it possible to create the best quality of Carbon Credits that currently exists. Carbon is stored sustainably and efficiently in the ground for hundreds of years (Carbon Sink).
The market price now reflects this particular value.

We know the C02 content in the atmosphere for hundreds of thousands of years thanks to the air trapped in the ice, and that can be analyzed as shown in the following graph. The industrial era makes us reach absolute records.
It is urgent to find solutions not only to reduce our emissions but also to sequester as much carbon as possible.
Biochar is a major solution to this problem.

During the formation of Biochar under the effect of heat without oxygen, aromatic rings are formed which gradually condense. The result leads to a very stable structure whose degradation in the ground is extremely slow. The carbon is thus trapped for hundreds of years.
The challenge of global warming requires capturing and storing carbon in a sustainable way because the reduction of our emissions is far from sufficient.
For this, it is necessary to gradually set up carbon sinks on a large scale, these are:
-Forests
-Organic soil amendment
-Biochar

Globally, we continue to lose net forest area every year. On the other hand, the destiny of a forest can be disturbed by humans or by fires, nullifying the carbon storage efforts thus made.
Increasing soil organic carbon is a very important agricultural practice with in particular direct seeding over permanent vegetation cover, or by the addition of compost. But these practices must be maintained over time, and are difficult to quantify.
Biochar does not have these pitfalls.
This is the best way to sustainably sequester the carbon captured by plant photosynthesis. Once incorporated into the soil, this carbon is then stable for hundreds of years. This is easily quantifiable because a methodology has been validated internationally according to different parameters. We thus know precisely the carbon removed from the atmosphere. These carbon credits are thus the best quality of carbon sinks available on the market today.

Once certified, these carbon credits are sold on private markets via specialized companies such as Carbonfuture or Puro.earth. The unique quality of these Biochar carbon credits are now fully recognized by the markets (CORCCHAR).
Their price is significantly higher than other standard carbon credits (CORCWOOD) in the world. We see on this graph that the price has stabilized around 110 euros per ton.
